The therapist uses precise gentle touch skills in order to assess the quality of tissues, structures and fluids, as well as their position in regards to health, vitality and mobility. This helps to identify areas of pain, restriction and poor circulation, and therefore the cause of dysfunction. Osteopathy addresses the client’s presenting condition, while also taking into consideration the fact that emotional, mental and other physical elements often plays a role. It comprise of a wide range of gentle manual techniques for example; myofascial and visceral release, joint mobilization and manipulation, and cranio-sacral therapy.
